Oxfam Climate Change Ad goes Tck Tck Tck

Greenway Communique

I found this ad on Nathan Schock's green marketing blog.  The ad, released by Oxfam, makes the viewer feel anxious and scared.  It emphasizes imminence and destructive power of climate change.  But does it have a message or use for an audience that is still up-in-the-air about climate change?

While catching up on my video podcasts today, I came across an advertisement from Oxfam International on Green.tv. The advert is for their tck tck tck campaign which aims to galvanize public opinion in favor of action at the UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen this December. Watch it here:

What do you think? Did it convince you? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Social media is obviously a big part of the campaign. If you want to follow their campaign, you can check out their Twitter feed or Facebook fan page. I especially like how their web site news room is labeled Press & Bloggers.

  1. I think it’s very good. It’s extreme, but so is the problem. I don’t know how we can sell a moderate messsage when you asking for politicians to take ambitious action.
