Climategate, Public Opinion, and the Loss of Trust

Yaleproject Final This study, just released from the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication, finds that a survey "conducted in 2008 and 2009 found significant declines in
Americans’ climate change beliefs, risk perceptions, and trust in
scientists." The study examines some reasons for the declines, as well as the impact of Climategate. Overall though, the study revealed that scientists are still trusted more about global warming over other sources. ecoAmerica compiled an aggregate of public opinion polls in the Climate and Environmental Values Attitudes in America: 2010, that revealed similar findings.
