ecoAmerica is a environmental non-profit that uses innovative consumer research and marketing to encourage personal and civic choices that are better for American families, communities and our natural heritage.  By starting with people instead of issues, and focusing on opportunities and benefits instead of costs and consequences, ecoAmerica makes environmental protection personally relevant to average Americans. 

In our first year, we’ve conducted groundbreaking consumer research and launched programs that are having a huge impact.  Our leadership has built multi-million dollar consumer marketing businesses, and developed and executed some of the most innovative successful environmental marketing programs to date. 

The Program Director will manage the development and execution of marketing and communications programs that engage the public and broaden the appeal of environmentalism.  The Program Director will act as the primary liaison with ecoAmerica’s for-profit and non-profit program partners.  The Program Director will oversee the execution of PR campaigns, event marketing, and other online and offline outreach efforts, and will develop and implement relevant administrative systems to ensure that projects are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate possesses both keen strategic insight and the ability to manage the details of a multidimensional project.
–    At least 5 years of progressive marketing/communications project management experience in consumer products or services or environmental communications.
–    Experience working in or with Fortune 100 companies a plus.
–    Proven ability to lead cross-organizational projects to successful conclusions.
–    Excellent communication skills.
–    Commitment to environmental protection.
–    Willingness to travel.
